Although the external fire safety work was completed one year ago, VHMC’s Building Safety Fund account has yet to be finalised by Homes England. In late October 2025 Homes England confirmed that VHMC’s application for a fourth and final contract variation (submitted in 2023) has been approved in full.
This means that approximately half of the outstanding grant funds should be released to VHMC in November 2025 and the remaining tranche (the retention) will follow once the final account has been approved. This is a welcome piece of news that will assist VHMC cash flow and bring us one step closer to the settlement of leaseholders’ contributions to the recladding works.
